Fitzgerald never really tells us what Daisy Buchanan looked like up close, only that her voice was full of money and her name was already a flower. This one imagines the flower itself: five petals in warm ivory, shell-pale and faintly luminous, gathered at the center into a small cluster of pearls and crystal.
It catches the light the way she was always meant to, without asking for much of the room. Smaller and softer than its red counterpart, it wears well against most anything, gold jewelry, cream linen, a plain black dress on a green-lit evening.
