The Manderley Bee Stud Earrings

Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again, the narrator of Rebecca tells us, and no one who has read it forgets the house that follows. This stud is built with the same instinct, more is more, and it works. A gold bee, wings pierced and gleaming, sits fixed over a deep blue stone at its center, the whole insect laid across a wide oval of glass-green, rimmed in petals of red enamel and small white pearls.
