The Laura Pendant Necklace

Laura, in Christina Rossetti's Goblin Market, buys the forbidden fruit with a single lock of golden hair and cannot stop thinking about its taste afterward, wasting a little more each day until her sister risks everything to save her. This pendant is the fruit already open, a pomegranate packed tight with faceted red stones instead of seeds, catching light the way the poem describes the goblin fruit catching a girl's whole attention.
It hangs from a fine, sparkling chain, small and light at seven grams, easy to wear daily rather than saved for occasions. Paired with the Proserpine Pendant, whole and gold and still closed, the two read as a small story: the fruit before and after.
Wear it if you already know exactly what you want. Rossetti's poem is, in the end, about wanting something enough to risk the wanting itself.
